Tombstone Tuesday — Elizabeth (Treat) Snow in Bridge Road Cemetery in Eastham, Mass.

I have collected a number of gravestone photographs from my own camera and from Find A Grave memorials over many years, and thought I would share them one at a time for Tombstone Tuesday.

Here is the gravestone of my 7th great-grandmother, Elizabeth (Treat) Snow (11676-1755) in Bridge Road Cemetery in Eastham, Massachusetts:

The inscription from the photograph is:

Here Lies The
Body Of M’rs.
Elizabeth Snow
Wife of M’r.
Jabez Snow Died
March 3’d 1755
In y’e 79’th Year
Of Her Age
The source citation for this gravestone is:

Find a Grave, database and images (https://www.findagrave.com : accessed 24 August 2020), memorial page for Elizabeth Treat Snow (24 Jul 1676–3 Mar 1755), Find a Grave Memorial no. 15871798, citing Bridge Road Cemetery, Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, USA ; Maintained by Mary Harrell-Sesniak (contributor 46488639) .

Thank you to Mary Harrell-Sesniak for creating this Find A Grave memorial and (I’m assuming) for taking this photograph.

Jabez Snow (1670-1850) and Elizabeth Treat (1686-1755) are my 7th great-grandparents.  They married in about 1695 in Eastham, Mass. and had eight children.  I am descended through their eldest child, Jabez Snow (1696-1760) who married Elizabeth Paine (1702-1772) in 1720 in Eastham.
