Free virtual Scottish Indexes conference this Saturday

The 10th free Scottish Indexes conference will take place on Saturday, May 22. There are eight presentations, including one about the Scots in Canada by Diane Rogers from Vancouver.

The virtual conference starts at 7:00 a.m. UK time and will keep going until 11:00 p.m. UK time. Each presentation is shown twice, once between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., then again between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. This makes the event time-zone friendly, and the schedule is provided in five time zones. You can come and go throughout the day.

The sessions are:

Mother dead, Father in prison by Kate Keter.

Patterns of Migration in the Scottish Textiles Industries 1750-1950 by Andrew

Family History at the National Library of Scotland by Robbie Mitchell.
