FamilySearch’s new and expanded collections includes almost half a million more Ontario tax assessment records

This week FamilySearch added one million new records to the Netherlands Vital Records Archival Indexes 1600–2000, 437,549 more for Canada, Ontario Tax Assessment Rolls 1834–1899, 800,000 for New Zealand Electoral Rolls 1865–1957, and one million more Catholic Church Records from El Salvador 1655–1977Peru 1603–1992, the diocese of Huaraz (in Peru) 1641–2016, and Venezuela 1577–1995.

The Ontario Tax Assessment Rolls collection now contains 975,342 indexed records. They may include the name, age, occupation, and possibly the religious affiliation of the head of household along with information about his lands, home, family members (by age categories) crops, and animals.
