Call for proposals for Ontario Ancestors’ 2021 webinar series and virtual mini-conferences

Canada’s largest genealogical society, Ontario Ancestors, is now accepting proposals for its monthly 2021 webinar series.

The live webinars take place the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time, using the Zoom platform.

Quarterly mini-conference
Ontario Ancestors is also looking for guest speakers who are interested in presenting at the new online quarterly mini-conference learning opportunities in 2021.

All submissions will be considered for both, unless otherwise indicated on the submission.

Topics of Interest
Ontario Ancestors invites proposals on a wide range of topics. As information, the top subjects from its recent 2021 webinar topic survey were:
• Ontario land records
• Comparison of genealogy websites
• Organization/Storage of records
• Immigration
• Research in the country of origin (England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, France, etc.)
• Advanced DNA
• Research methodology/Procedures

Where applicable, selected speakers need to be prepared to provide Ontario and/or Canadian-specific examples in their presentations.

Speakers may submit up to three proposals for consideration. All submissions will be reviewed, but only those who are chosen will be contacted.

Speakers will receive an honorarium for their webinar presentation.

Proposals must be submitted, using the online form.

The submission deadline is September 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.
